Details of incidents attended by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service At 8:36am on Wednesday (1) a crew from Luton was called to a fire involving building waste materials in Old Road, Barton le Clay. The fire measured approximately 3m x 3m.Firefighters used a hose reel jet ot extinguish the fire.The cause of the fire was accidental.

At 12:11pm on Wednesday (1) two crews from Luton were called to a fire involving two shed, a green house, garden furniture and some fencing in Folly Lane, Caddington. The shed, fencing and garden furniture were 100% damaged by fire.

The green house was 50% damaged by fire. A nearby static caravan was 10% damaged by heat and smoke.Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hopse reels to extinguihs the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.The cause of the fire was accidental.

At 12:24pm on Wednesday (1) two crews from Ampthill were called to a small kitchen fire measuring approximately 5m x 10m in Nottingham Close, Ampthill. The property was 5% damaged by fire and 20% damaged by smoke.Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a covering jet, safety jet and hose reel to extinguish the fire.

They used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots and post fire ventilation to help remove the smoke.The cause of the fire was accidental. At 6:54pm on Wednesday (1) a crew from Luton was called to a fire in a back garden involving garden waste in Beresford Road, Luton.Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

At 7:17pm on Wednesday (1) a crew from Biggleswade and a crew from Sandy were called to a fire measuring 15m x 27m in the ground floor of a commercial building in High Street, Biggleswade. There was 25% fire damage and 50% smoke damage.Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and a covering jet to extinguish the fire, and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.The cause of the fire was accidental.
