At 10.19am, a crew from Kempston were called to a small fire in the engine bay of a vehicle in Cherwell Road, Bedford. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
At 11.30am, a crew from Kempston were called to a fire in a rear garden consisting of trees and foliage in Bedford Road, Marston Mortaine. Firefighters used a hose reel jet, a stack drag and a triple extension ladder to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
At 12.15pm, a crew from Bedford were called to a fire in an external wooden storage container in Brickhill Drive, Bedford. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
At 2.44pm, crews from Luton were called to a fire in a derelict building in Bramingham Road, Luton. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and thermal imaging cameras.
Also in use were a covering jet and safety jet. Post fire ventillation was completed using positive pressure ventillation fans.
