Details of incidents attended by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service At 10:30am on Thursday (2) a crew from Kempston was called to a small log fire measuring approximately 1m x 1m in Hill Grounds Road, Kempston.Firefighters used backpack sprayers to extinguish the fire.The cause of the fire was accidental. At 3:54pm on Thursday (2) three crews from Biggleswade, two from Kempston, one from Potton, two from Sandy and one from Toddington were called to a fire in woodland measuring approximately 30m x 30m near Potton Road, Sandy.
The fire consisted of trees and shrubland.Firefighters used a hose reel and back pack sprayers to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.The cause of the fire was accidental. At 6:39pm on Thursday (2) two crews from Luton and a crew from Stopsley were called to a car fire just off M1 Jct 10 to Kimpton Road (A1081) Luton.
