Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Luton on Tuesday (30 June), involving a car and two pedestrians. Police were called at around 11.15am to Toddington Road following reports of a collision involving a grey Mini Cooper.
A woman in her 20s and a young boy were taken to hospital where they both remain in a serious condition. A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
He has since been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue. Sergeant Nicholas Kane from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: “This was a serious collision which occurred in a busy area, and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or the moments leading up to it, to help us establish the full circumstances.
