Corrections Policy

Requesting a correction

Email contact@bluelightbritain.co.uk with the article URL, the disputed passage, your proposed correction and reliable evidence. Clearly mark urgent legal, safety or identification concerns.

How requests are assessed

We compare the request with the original and updated authoritative sources. We may contact the source or requester for clarification. A disagreement of opinion is not automatically a factual error, but attribution and uncertainty should always be clear.

Corrections and updates

Minor spelling or formatting errors may be fixed without a notice. A correction that materially changes the meaning, identity, legal status or chronology should be acknowledged in the article. Developing stories may be updated as new verified facts emerge.

Removal requests

Removal is considered where publication is unlawful, materially inaccurate, subject to a valid reporting restriction, creates a serious safety risk, or no longer serves a proportionate public-interest purpose. Search de-indexing may be considered separately from removal.
