Two Stevenage Men Charged with Shoplifting in Welwyn Garden City

Two men from Stevenage have been charged with shoplifting in Welwyn Garden City The arrests took place at their home addresses on Thursday (25 June) and both were charged the same day. The pair will appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24 July.

The arrests were carried out by officers on the Welwyn Hatfield North Neighbourhood Policing Team as part of an ongoing commitment to tackle retail crime. Inspector Amy Sheldon, from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We know that shoplifting has a big impact on local businesses and we are determined to tackle it.
