Two people have been arrested following a stabbing in Great Barford on Friday 26 June. Officers were called at around 4.20pm to the High Street, close to the bridge, following reports that a man had been stabbed.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and has since been discharged. A 19-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday) on suspicion of wounding with intent, making threats to kill and threats to destroy or damage property.
He remains in police custody for questioning. A 19-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Jon Stow said: “Our message is clear - knife crime and violence have no place in our communities. “We recognise the concern incidents like this can cause and the wider impact on families and local residents, and we are grateful to those who have come forward to assist with our enquiries.
