A young woman has died after a skydiving incident near Langar Airfield. Emergency services were called at 12.13pm today (Sunday).
The woman, aged 22, was found in a nearby field and pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers.
No one else was hurt and a file will now be prepared for the Coroner. Detective Inspector Rachel Mayfield, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a tragic incident, and we are working with partners to understand what happened.
