No two days are the same for our policing teams and for a couple of officers it was a particularly 'pawsome' day when they helped rescue kittens abandoned on a street in Walsall.PCs Kieron Stanton and Pip Clewlow from the Walsall St Matthew's team were out on patrol last weekend when they were waved down by a woman called Tammy, in Park Street. Tammy needed their help as she'd discovered three newborn kittens on an abandoned sofa left out on the pavement nearby.Between them the officers and Tammy scooped up the tiny creatures and popped them safely into a box, before taking them to a vets in Wolverhampton, where they're now being cared for.PC Stanton, said: "This was just such a lovely thing for us to be able to help out with.
Tammy saw us and knew that as police officers we'd be able to help and that's what we did."Not every day has such sweet moments, but this was definitely one 'purr-suit' that ended very well for all involved." Share
