Donate TODAY Jan – May 2026 Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before.

Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic53 were tasked to a fall incident in Northampton at 04:27 and were on scene at 04:50. The crew attended the incident before escorting the patient by land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.

Helimed54 were tasked to a road traffic collision in Leicester at 10:44 and were on scene at 10:54. The crew attended a motorcyclist involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle before escorting the patient by land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.

Helimed54 were tasked to a medical emergency in Mansfield at 17:04 and were on scene at 17:28. The crew attended a patient experiencing a cardiac arrest and provided advanced clinical interventions at the scene.

Medic54 were tasked to a medical emergency in Groby at 05:19 and were on scene at 05:34. Following assessment of the situation, specialist critical care support was no longer required, allowing the patient to be transported to hospital by the attending ambulance crew.

Helimed53 were tasked to a medical emergency in Hinckley at 10:37 and were on scene at 10:48. Landing beside a nearby building site, the crew attended a medically unwell patient before escorting them by land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.

Helimed53 were tasked to a trauma incident in Hinckley at 21:08 and were on scene at 21:19. The crew attended the incident before the patient was left in the care of the ambulance service for onward transfer to hospital.

Helimed53 were tasked to a medical emergency in Ullesthorpe at 08:53 and were on scene at 09:05. Landing in a nearby field, the crew assisted the ambulance service with the extrication of a patient from their home.

Following assessment of the situation, specialist critical care support was no longer required, and the patient was transported to Leicester Royal Infirmary by the attending ambulance crew. Helimed53 were tasked to an assault in Birmingham at 17:26 and were on scene at 17:40.

Helimed54 were tasked to a medical emergency in Rutland at 12:38 and were on scene at 12:56. The crew provided critical care on scene before transferring the patient by air to Peterborough City Hospital for further treatment.

Medic54 were tasked to a road traffic collision in Leicester at 04:43 and were on scene at 05:03. The crew attended a patient involved in a head-on collision before escorting them by land ambulance to Queen’s Medical Centre for further treatment.
