A teenage boy has been found not guilty of murder after a stabbing in Ewell in December 2025. Police were called to Kingston Road in Ewell around 3.30pm on Tuesday, 9 December following reports that a man with injuries consistent with a stabbing had been found.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of police, paramedics, staff from the pub, and members of the public, a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later named as 23-year-old Alfonso (Alfie) Sibley.
Three teenage boys were subsequently charged in relation to this incident: Following a four-week trial at Kingston Crown Court, a 15-year-old boy has been found not guilty of murder, manslaughter, or conspiracy to commit robbery. A second 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy have also been found not guilty of conspiracy to commit robbery.
None of the defendants can be named for legal reasons. Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Kimball Edey, from the Major Crime Team, said, “Our thoughts remain with Alfonso’s family, who have requested privacy at this time.
“They would like to thank the members of the public who were with Alfie (as they called him) and helped him last December, and to thank the witnesses who assisted the investigation. “We ask that their wishes for privacy are respected as they continue to come to terms with their loss.” Share
