A single crewed National Police Air Service (NPAS) team from Newcastle played a vital role in locating and rescuing a vulnerable missing woman during a challenging rural search on the moors, working closely with Durham Constabulary today (28 April).Police requested NPAS support after growing concern for a woman who had gone missing from her home and had not been seen for 24 hours. The last known location of her vehicle, placed her somewhere within a vast and remote area of moorland.
