Following an alert from London Fire Brigade to the Department for Business & Trade, a recall has been issued for an e-moped, that poses a serious risk of fire. London Fire Brigade has sent seven members of the Brigade, to join the UK-ISAR earthquake rescue effort.

UK-ISAR is the official UK Government response to international disasters, funded and supported by FCDO (Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office). On 23 June, the Brigade’s Control Room in south London took 1153 emergency calls in 24 hours, mobilising firefighters to 737 separate incidents.

Capital faces elevated risk of wildfire and concerns around people heading into the water. As part of Drowning Prevention Week and as the weather begins to warm up again, London Fire Brigade is asking for support from teachers, parents and guardians to ensure children are aware of the dangers of open water.

From fires in high-rise buildings and multi-vehicle collisions to rescues from lifts and the Thames, firefighters used their technical expertise to rescue Londoners in numerous situations across the capital.

London Fire Brigade is sharing advice to help Londoners enjoy the hot weather safely, ahead of the capital’s first potential heatwave of the year.
