A man attended Teesside Magistrates’ Court earlier today (Saturday 4th July) after being charged in connection with a series of attempted and actual house burglaries in Middlesbrough. Just after 9.35pm on Thursday night (2nd July) police received a report of a man trying a number of house doors in various streets in the Ayresome area.
Minutes later another caller said a man had walked into their house and taken some car keys, but thrown them back at the caller when they chased him down the street. Officers immediately carried out an area search with the help of a drone, but the suspect could not be located at that time, however ongoing enquiries by Middlesbrough CID led to a 33-year-old man being arrested on Friday evening.
He was questioned and later charged with one count of burglary and two counts of attempted burglary and was remanded overnight until his court appearance this morning from where he was further remanded. Share
